"I'm So Happy!"

Happy Easter! I have so many pictures for you all. First off, My tulips came up! I just planted them a month ago and wasn't hopeful. And my hydrangea came back too, they were looking bleak last fall when a fungus got them. Is there anything better then the first spring flowers... I submit that there is not!Today when David found his Easter basket he kept saying "I'm so happy, I'm so happy". I even got him doing a little happy dance as we ate candy and watched conference. He is currently bouncing off the walls because he's so sugared up!Friday we threw together a little Easter party with some of our friends. We dyed eggs, had and egg hunt and play play played!
Even Brody wanted to help. He is crawling all over now, all he needs is more speed!
After the party David when to work, and Brody supervised.
Ready...Aim...Fire!

and last but not least, the vocal stylings of David Miles...

March Snowman!

Snowing in March is not what I expected when I moved to Arkansas, but coming from Colorado and Utah it's not weird to me. I planted these flowers Friday, I know I should have checked to weather but it was so nice out then! Looks like they are going to be just fine.Alexa and I had fun making this snowman. I'm pretty sure that it was melting as fast as we were building. Not sure if you can see but this is no snow-man this is a "snowqueen"! Alexa gave her a crown and all, the vanilla wafer eyes only lasted long enough to take the pictures. While we made a snowqueen David tried riding his bike in the snow. If it wasn't going to be so muddy, we would go to the park this afternoon!

How bout try... ice cream?

What's worse then a giraffe with a sore throat? An elephant with a bloody nose!
-David Clark

One of David Clark's famous silly jokes, what does this have to do with anything? David Got the nasty stomach flew that's going around. Starting at 11pm he threw up all night long! Every half hour he would sit up, fuss a little, and I would grab the bowl. That lasted till about 10am! He stayed in bed till 11 or so, then moved to the couch where he stayed for the rest of the day! About 4:30 he got up and moved around a little.

He kept asking for water... but couldn't keep it down. It was so sad. Then when he started feeling a little better he kept saying, "how bout try...ice cream?" "just a little bit" He finally stopping throwing up at 5 or so. Never did have any solids.

I knew he was on the mend this morning when he wouldn't stop trying to upset Brody! Sick babys are hard, but they are nice and mellow... Sometimes a sick day is good, except for all the laundry!

Go Brody!

Brody can crawl... he just need a little incentive. The crazy thing is this was a couple weeks ago! He has a pretty good army crawl now and tries to get up on all fours too.

Brody is tasting all kinds of foods now, and it is so nice to be able to occupy him with a little snack. His favorite activities include:
1. Being held
2. Eating bread
3. Wrestling with David (even when David is not playing but trying to be mean)
4. Laughing
5. and giving the biggest wet kisses you ever had!

David is just like his daddy! Check out his rock star moves!

David is getting big so fast! Here he is showing off his muscles. His favorites include:
1. being naked
2. running around outside
3. weapons
4. treats
5. and his pacifier, still!

I guess it's a naked picture day! So enjoy my boys o' natural!

Mom needa' go Potty!

Run run run as fast as you can, will we make it to the potty little man!

That's right, Davids in big boy briefs (I don't really call them briefs but who could resist three B's). He has been wearing them for two or three weeks now, and can I just say it's been a breeze. Not to say we don't have occasional accidents, but he's even keeping his diapers dry during naps and at night a lot!

I didn't really have any great indications it was time to start, I was just talking about potty-training with some friends and thought... why not.

The best part is he can almost do the whole process himself. He runs in there, flips on the light and the fan, scoots his stool up th the toilet, pushes down his pants and goes... oh yeah don't forget to "point it down!" this is the most important step with a boy or you end up having to clean the walls... yep been there.

One of my favorite things is how much Brody loves David, and it's starting to be more mutual. Every time David comes around Brody lights up. When David hears Brody waking up he'll run into his room saying "Mom Brody wake up!" I can't wait for them to be able to run off together to play and cause mischief!
