I need some go juice

I was poking through a couple blogs today for the first time in a while and started to feel so guilty! I am too lazy and tired to take pictures these days let alone blog about it. What can I say I'm 30 weeks pregnant and feeling it. Now that it is almost Thanksgiving, I hate that I didn't get any good pictures of the boys in their Halloween costumes! I met to dress them up again and then Brody got a nasty black eye that is just now looking better. Is it too late?

We had a great ward truck or treat party and the boys were adorable. Must say especially Brody, who we actually did get a picture of thanks to Joe's phone. David was a knight this year with a sword and everything. He really liked his costume and wore it on a couple of occasions and around the house. What he really loved was the Superman costume I got for halloween next year! To be honest I am just getting everything put away.

David was a very cute, timmid and shy this year. He would walk up there and just stand waiting for the candy to be put in his bucket. Okay I realized a few stops into it that he had a bucket in one hand and his sword in the other... poor guy couldnt take candy if he wanted to!Brody our duck, was given a sucker and allowed to wander. That's mostly because I like walking a ways behind him and watch him waddle around. So instead of taking pictures of my cute boys I was chasing one or holding the others hand. Not to mention the extra one I carry around all the time, I'm I excused for my blogging neglect yet? I'd say so!Here we are a month behind... Happy Halloweeen!

"Mom, why's the sausage crying?"

We were making sausage and eggs this morning for breakfast (don't be impressed, it's only because we were out of milk), when David asked me why the sausage was crying! So funny, that boy cracks me up. Such a big helper in the kitchen, which makes Bordy want the help too... not so helpful. All Brody can do is make me hold him while he says "haaa haa haaa" for hot.

For those of you who haven't heard because I never blog anymore, we are having a girl! We are so excited and I have already had too much fun getting crib bedding and pink clothes! Sorry Joe, I can't help myself.

Brody is trying a lot more to say words now, he's better at following the infection in my voice then the letter sounds. Some of his words are:
Mama
Dada
Dada (david, not to be confused with Daddy)
baabee (passy)
aaaa (bye)
ooo ooo (woof woof, he loves animal noises)
cackur (cracker)
mmmmmmm (more)
uh oh (...uh oh, meaning oh no i dropped something)

He recognizes so many things and tries to talk, but everything sounds the same right now. He loves airplanes and whenever he hears one he'll point to the sky/ceiling and make a noise. also loves turning on and off the light, playing "peek a boo barn" on my phone, cars, Baby Einstein movies, playing chase, the slide, riding bikes, animals, and his blanket!
David is a little three year old and all that comes with it. Sometimes he's as good and sweet as can be, "Please mom may I..." to get what he wants and hugs and kisses all over. Other times he's a grumpy guy and has very violent talk, "I shoot the gym with my fire gun!" He's not physically violet, all talk. Not too sure what to do about that one.

He's is very independent I'll give him that, sometimes to a fault. Like today we were at Sam's club and he decided he needed a big box of freshly made buz lightyear cupcakes... well he tipped the box over getting it off the table and I am pretty sure he ruined every one!

"come on Brode!"

I feel a little guilty for complaining on my last post. I really have great kids. They are getting so big too. We went to the park today and David wanted to take Brody down the slide. At first he tried to pick him up,but I convinced him to take his hand instead. Cutest thing ever. Just so you know we are not perfect... right after I snapped this shot Brody fell down and David ran off without him. Maybe by next summer they can play a little together.

Chomp chomp!

It's official, Brody has a tooth! I felt it in there a couple of days ago. Now we just need a few more so he doesn't have to swallow things whole. It's his front bottom tooth if you wanna know.
He also discovered that shaking his head side to side means no. He is trying to say no too, all he really gets out is the "nu nu". He loves being able to communicate.
David is getting into some terrible threes stuff. The timing was bad too with Joe just having surgery (torn ACL). If it wasn't for all the help from family... well uncle Adam really, I probably would gave gone crazy. Luckily we are all on the mend and getting back to normal.

Happy Birthday

July is our birthday month around here, and seeing how it is August now I thought it a good time to share some birthday pictures. On July 13th Brody James turned one! What a big boy. He currently has no teeth and is almost ready to be walking. His favorite foods include but are not limited to Popsicles, grapes, and soda. This is after his funfetti cupcake on his birthday. He is a funny little eater and likes to tear off bits of whatever he's eating. He even tries this with ice cream cones a very messy business. This Cupcake eating was at David's Birthday party. We had it down at the Saumweber's pool and it was really fun! A little crazy so I only took a couple pictures, I should have got one with all the kids but oh well. David made this funny face when I told him to smile for the camera... at least he didn't look away.David is getting to be such a "big guy". His favorites right now include jumping on the bed, guns and space ships, treaties, staying up late watching movies and jumping in the pool. This little boy never stops. He is three years old now but is still wearing size 24months!This past week was a little crazy for us. We found out Saturday morning that my grandmother, Mary Bankhead, past away and the funeral was going to be on Wednesday. We scrabbled ourselves together and Brody and I left Tuesday for Utah, David was shipped off to the Boyles for the week and Joe headed to Dallas Wednesday and Thursday for work. I was a wreak aside from the cold that hit me like a ton of bricks Tuesday I felt terrible about leaving David. Fortunately Crystal took great care of him and I think he had a really fun week playing with Tanner. This little picture of Brody was when we were at the airport wasting time. He loves the slide! We love our boys!

Like the army guy...

Today we cut off all davids fluffy white locks! He says he has an army man hair cut. He looks so cute. I must admit half the reason is because he smells so bad! Even right after a bath his hair reeks. Maybe this will help keep him cooler. Although probably not... What can I say I have a smelly little man!

Blogging from my phone!

Well the internet on my lap top has been broken for months, which has been my excuse for not blogging. But today I am posting from my iPhone! As soon as I buy the full version I can send pictures and video too.
Today is much like any other. We just got done with the nap time battle. Don't worry I won I should have a couple hours of freedom now. We have all been home from our vacations for almost two weeks. It has taken me that long to get things back to normal.
Speaking of normal we have some not so normal news... Baby number three is on his/her way! Surprise, I'm due January 25 which makes me 10 weeks along. Our baby is now the size of a lime and starting to look more like a baby and less like an alien. I thought I was ready for this but some days three sounds like too many! Too late, here we go.

A photo is worth a thousand words... but some pictures need a little explaining

Yup it's been over a month since I last posted anything! It's not because we haven't done anything either... so here is a little slide show catch up. Over the past month we have:
1. been to visit my sister in Dallas. The kids had so much fun together. David loves "da geels". They are coming to visit us next weekend and we can't wait. David keeps telling me that Camille is sleeping in the office and Kate and Justin are on the couch.
2. Touch a truck was a special event here in Arkansas. They brought in all these trucks, tractors, and other cool vehicles and let kids climb in them. David's favorite was the dump truck, probably because he loves the book Trashy Town. It was a little rainy that day, but we still had a great time.
3. With the weather getting better we have been at the park almost every day it does not rain. We have also got into eating ice cream and I just have to say Brody is a huge fan. He will eat a whole cone by himself cone and all! David got one at Chick Fil A the other day, and Brody freaked out had to have it. So David shared but when we went to take it back... oh man I have never heard him cry so hard no joke!
4. It has to be said Brody is a piggie! He will out eat David every meal! No teeth yet, but I am sure that's coming soon. When they do that kid will probably eat us out of house and home!
5. David loves doing things "All my self." Going potty, getting dressed, showering, making eggs, brushing teeth, etc... He wants to be the big boy "when I'm all growed up big like daddy!"
6. We have a couple neighborhood cats that come around. David has named them Jeffy (after his uncle) and tiger (a stripped cat). They come around a lot and both the boys like them. At first David would call to it like a dog and try to get the thing to follow him around, but he's a fast learn.
7. At the park one day David had an accident right on the slide, so fun. while I was cleaning him up the little rascal did a victory lap in all his glory. A couple of the other moms were less then amused. once he came back to me I threw a Brody Diaper on him (skinny guy) and sent him on his way. Those moms continued to give me crusties for being so out of control i guess, so we left. All I gotta say about that is: relax they're kids!
8. David is done with his passy! We traded them for a squirt gun, cut them up and that was the end of that. He did pretty good, but it has killed nap time for me. The only way to get him to go to sleep is to put him in front of a movie and hope he stops wiggling long enough to fall asleep. There was a week or two there where I thought I'd go crazy, but we are getting used to our new schedule now.
9. And last but not least we have been boating! Okay so our first trip was really cold, but Joe and Jackie couldn't wait for the great weather. It has been raining a ton here and every time we wanted to go it was raining. All day long we'd be checking the weather "only a 60% chance of rain that's our window!" We have been out twice now and it feels great, especially since I'm not prego this year.

SPF 50 please!

Yay summer is here! you can find us outside between the hours of 8 and 5! Especially David who often runs out the front door and down the sidewalk in his underwear! I need a deadbolt. We have had a busy two weeks with Alexa here four out of the five days both weeks! And... Friday is here, it's 3pm and we only have a few more hours to go. Speaking of I need to find a babysitter! I am always working last minute on that one.

We have been to feed the geese and the fish on a number of occasions, here are a few choice photos of our outings. watch out they bite!that's my wild girl!So I have to tell you... David loves finding and playing with sticks. This is his biggest to date. Here's the funny thing, He has some trouble with the "st" sound and it always comes out "d". Yeah put that together can you. One day we were driving down the road and David yells "MOM A HUGE DICK!" Lo and behold just outside the window was a tree with no branchs. I must be imature because I lost it.On a better note... here's my adorable Brody! Who could say no to that face? That is a huge strawberry he's eating incase you were wondering, they were delicious!

"Flip lops!"

Summer time is here at last! We had to hit Old Navy for some Flip Flops and a hat for David. We tried one shoe on in the store and he had to wear them right then, so off when the sneakers and the socks. Must be my son, as soon as it gets warm enough... good buy shoes, HELLO FLOPS! These are his first ones so it was pretty funny watching him learn how to walk in them. Even better was him trying to run, you can check it out in the video. We also got a new hat much to his dismay, but as soon as we got home and were working in the yard he said, "the sunshine's too bright." I rushed in for the hat and waa la! he was sold.

"I'm So Happy!"

Happy Easter! I have so many pictures for you all. First off, My tulips came up! I just planted them a month ago and wasn't hopeful. And my hydrangea came back too, they were looking bleak last fall when a fungus got them. Is there anything better then the first spring flowers... I submit that there is not!Today when David found his Easter basket he kept saying "I'm so happy, I'm so happy". I even got him doing a little happy dance as we ate candy and watched conference. He is currently bouncing off the walls because he's so sugared up!Friday we threw together a little Easter party with some of our friends. We dyed eggs, had and egg hunt and play play played!
Even Brody wanted to help. He is crawling all over now, all he needs is more speed!
After the party David when to work, and Brody supervised.
Ready...Aim...Fire!

and last but not least, the vocal stylings of David Miles...

March Snowman!

Snowing in March is not what I expected when I moved to Arkansas, but coming from Colorado and Utah it's not weird to me. I planted these flowers Friday, I know I should have checked to weather but it was so nice out then! Looks like they are going to be just fine.Alexa and I had fun making this snowman. I'm pretty sure that it was melting as fast as we were building. Not sure if you can see but this is no snow-man this is a "snowqueen"! Alexa gave her a crown and all, the vanilla wafer eyes only lasted long enough to take the pictures. While we made a snowqueen David tried riding his bike in the snow. If it wasn't going to be so muddy, we would go to the park this afternoon!

How bout try... ice cream?

What's worse then a giraffe with a sore throat? An elephant with a bloody nose!
-David Clark

One of David Clark's famous silly jokes, what does this have to do with anything? David Got the nasty stomach flew that's going around. Starting at 11pm he threw up all night long! Every half hour he would sit up, fuss a little, and I would grab the bowl. That lasted till about 10am! He stayed in bed till 11 or so, then moved to the couch where he stayed for the rest of the day! About 4:30 he got up and moved around a little.

He kept asking for water... but couldn't keep it down. It was so sad. Then when he started feeling a little better he kept saying, "how bout try...ice cream?" "just a little bit" He finally stopping throwing up at 5 or so. Never did have any solids.

I knew he was on the mend this morning when he wouldn't stop trying to upset Brody! Sick babys are hard, but they are nice and mellow... Sometimes a sick day is good, except for all the laundry!

Go Brody!

Brody can crawl... he just need a little incentive. The crazy thing is this was a couple weeks ago! He has a pretty good army crawl now and tries to get up on all fours too.

Brody is tasting all kinds of foods now, and it is so nice to be able to occupy him with a little snack. His favorite activities include:
1. Being held
2. Eating bread
3. Wrestling with David (even when David is not playing but trying to be mean)
4. Laughing
5. and giving the biggest wet kisses you ever had!

David is just like his daddy! Check out his rock star moves!

David is getting big so fast! Here he is showing off his muscles. His favorites include:
1. being naked
2. running around outside
3. weapons
4. treats
5. and his pacifier, still!

I guess it's a naked picture day! So enjoy my boys o' natural!
