Frosty the Snowman

We love Christmas!

Sometimes I feel bad that David get's all the airtime. Brody is very cute too. Here are some photo's just to prove it.
David, Brody and I went to the mall and they have a little train that drives around. Of course we had to take a ride. David loved it!Putting up the Christmas lights...We had so much fun putting up our Christmas lights. Adam came over and was a big help, and all of our lights were donated by the Saumweber estate Thanks! I will have to take some pictures of the finished product they look great. David spends all day turning them on and I spend all day turning them off.

A child's Prayer

Heaven Father,
Thank you temple
thank you toys
Thank you elders
bless the food
thank you Daddy
bless daddy home
bless mommy home
name a Jesus
amen

Heaven Father,
thank you for the temple
thank you elders
thank you elders come to drink
thank you temple
thank you daddy and Cole Cole
thank you daddy and mama...
Amen

I was trying to think of something clever say before these videos, but I couldn't think of anything! He is so cute and pure. These were taken a few weeks ago, and he improves all the time. The part about temple and elders, that comes from nursery, and we were having the elders over for dinner once a week then too. It's really fun to have him learning things from other places.

Shogun!

Some little boys dream about being a fireman or a doctor... mine wants to be a Teppanyaki grill chef! He has been to Shogun twice now and it's the only restaurant he has asked to go back to. As soon as the chef comes out he is mesmerized! I have never seen his eyes so big... I should have taken a picture.

It's been a couple of weeks since we went and I found David in the kitchen with a metal spatula banging around the counter making as much noise as possible. "What are you doing?" "uh uh uh uh i makid the fire!" (he's been stuttering lately) He was pretending to be the chef! He even did the choo choo train onion.

Happy Birthday Mike!

Lucky for Mike David is very into singing Happy Birthday! Both takes were so good I had to do include them both. Just so you all know the pumpkin looking thing is the cake and the tool thing is his lighter.

Dumpster Diving

Who goes dumpster diving? Okay I did I'll admit it. There was this little toddler swing set just sitting out in my neighbors trash. We drove by once, and I turned around to pick it up. The lady came out and said she had another piece to it in her attic. We waited and came home with the little swing attachment as well.

I had to jerry-rig it a little, but it's great. Even the little dog from next door dug under the fence (again) to come play with it. We had to go inside when the dog got out and I tried to take pictures but didn't get the dog at play. He would climb up the slide and swing the chair by biting the back. David kept saying "crazy dog crazy little dogie".

I like Candy...da da da... da da

Happy Halloween... a few days ago. We had a great Halloween even though we didn't carve any pumpkins, next year. We got to sleep in till almost 9:00 thanks to Grandpa and Grandma Yo. They are way too good to us. Then we went to breakfast with Grandpa AKA Les senior. We ran around for a bit after that looking for decorations for trunk o' treating.

David and I made a big spider to put back there (sorry we forgot the take pictures of our trunk). We also got some dry ice which didn't turn out as cool as I was hoping... next time. David wore his Elmo costume with no complains, and he loved trick or treating. We now have candy to last us till next Halloween.

Can you see David? He wandered over to this group of kids all on his own to hang out. I think it was because there was a Buz Light year he was taken with. Big kids are so cool!

The great pumpkin

The only problem with fall is when it rains and we can't go to the park. Last Saturday we when to the pumpkin patch with Grandma, Grandpa and Adam. After checking our all the big pumpkins David settled on this cute little one. Oh check out our new car in the back ground.

We decided to bring home this cute little pumpkin!

We had fun making caramel apples too. David is starting to be a little too much help in the kitchen if you know what I mean! He is all trouble lately.

Speaking of trouble... we were having a hard time the other day and I had to tied David's passy to the bed. I know I know, terrible. He was really upset, so of course mean mommy breaks out the camera. check out the red puppy eyes and the tears running down his cheeks! You should have seen him the pictures just don't even capture the hurt in those little eyes, and the mad look I got when the camera came out.

Laugh it up!

Sick!

There is nothing more sad then sick babies! David has been a little off all morning, and when we were at the store he told me his tummy hurt. Well, poor little guy threw up when we got home. He is okay now asleep on the couch, still a little warm though.

"Actually"

Every day David does a handful of things that crack me up! Here are a few of the latest and greatest:

1. Yesterday David and I were working outside, and he brings me our little frog to show me his foot is broken.
mom, "oh no! we better go fix him."
I take the frog inside and set him on the counter. As I am rummaging through every drawer in the house looking for super glue I here,
"David ready. Fix it."
Walking back to the kitchen, "Sorry David the glue is all gone we will have to get some more at the store."
"David got it already... actually!" Said David holding out the clue, head cocked to one side.
Not only did he know where the glue was, he came prepared with a push pin to clear the tub! Oh and I do not remeber teaching him the word actually. I laughed so hard, what a smart kid.

2. David was "driving the car" in the driveway with Joe and I in the back seat. We started acting like babies and saying things he would say.
mom, "need a drink, apple juice warm!"
David looks around handing me a cup with water, "here mom."
He thought this game was really fun.

3. Uncle Adam has taught David to play guns. He loves them right now and carries them around all day. One of the funnies things is when he pretends he's shot... he is a very good actor! I'll have to video it for you.

4. We were saying prayers last night and for the first time David repeated whole phrases and not just words. Things like:
"the best mom ever"
"best dad ever"
"help us sleep good"
"name Jesus, Amen" (that one was without us telling him what to say).

5. "haven't had captain crunch long time"
"haven't watched buz long time"
"haven't read monkeys long time"
"haven't seen Jackie long time"
"...you get the idea, he loves this phrase.

6. "Guess what!" "Guess what mom!" "Adam coming over!" He kept telling me this today for some reason, I guess he wanted to play with Adam.

7. "Mom, Cole Cole sad! needs his mommy. Cole Cole needs his mommy daddy bad!" Cole is his friend. He said this one day because when we had to go Cole was upset and cried.

I could go on for days and only give you a hint of what it's like to spend all day with him. He is so smart and learning so fast. This is David asleep by the door in his room... this happens almost every night it seems. Brody is lots of fun too! So smiley and talkative!

We love our house!

We have now been in our house for four months, and we love it! I haven't taken any house pictures since the construction days, so here are a few. We aren't done yet... I love new project we will probably never be done.
WELCOME HOME!
For those of you who have been to our house this might be boring, but let's take a little tour and I will show you what is new and what we are still working on. The little tree stand squished on the left side of this picture is something I found and fell in love with. It was a great deal and helps cozy up the room.
We made all the pillows thanks to grandma Lisa. Can you find Brody? Hint: he's under the tiger blanket. There behind the couch is a book shelve that we repainted white. Joe and I have been very happy with it.
It sat in our garage for weeks, I think that it is the only project thus far that we have really finished! Still working on arranging the shelves.Notice the bar stools... nothing fancy but they work. There are actually some stools at pier 1 that I love but they are a little pricey. The white blanket Jan got for us in St. Louis, it is the perfect napping blanket thanks Jan!
Still need a table for our TV, and some day a new TV too! Our wish list grows daily. The view from the kitchen sink, I spend a lot of time here. Now we have a new art piece on our fireplace.
I want to mount it on a white background that is taller then it is wide so there will be blank canvas above the tree. We also thought about painting the canvas (hence the red on the box that's up there now). This is one of my new projects.
The kitchen...
This is in my kitchen, actually I just hung these this morning. I like them! I want to put a row of hooks under them for coats. Then eventually I want to find a little bench to sit on that has cubbys for shoes! Can you see it?
I love these!
I found this the same day and really like it, but couldn't find a place to put it so... back it goes.
Here's the little man for you. He loves raspberries! These were nice big ones. Well, I hope you enjoyed the tour. We'll do more when I have more to show. Have any ideas or suggestions they are always welcome.
